Tráfego europeu de aviação executiva mostra crescimento

European business aviation traffic was up 7.6% in May from a year earlier, continuing a positive trend in the previous six months.

“This further reinforces a strong start to 2017, with close to 7% growth in Q1 of this year,” says Brandon Mitchener, EBAA CEO, citing data provided by Eurocontrol. “Given that the summer is normally the peak season for business aviation traffic, we are hopeful that this marks a promising trend.”

The Eurocontrol traffic figures cover departures, arrivals, internals and overflights (DAIO) in the Single European Sky area. The May 2017 traffic level was 64,741 movements compared to about 60,000 movements on average for May for the previous five years (2012-2016).

Furthermore, with 5.6% year-on-year growth for the Jan-May 2017 period, this is the strongest showing for this period since 2006.
