Operações de aviação executiva registram melhor primeiro trimestre

The latest business aviation index report from Jet Support Services Inc. (JSSI) indicates that global business flight activity in the first three months represented the highest level of flight activity for any first quarter since 2008. According to JSSI, flight hours in the first quarter increased 4.4 percent year-over-year.

Broken down by industry, the largest increases were seen in the business services, healthcare and consumer goods industries, which climbed 8.2 percent, 7.5 percent and 5.3 percent, respectively, from the fourth quarter. The largest decrease was in the real estate sector, where flying sunk by 17 percent.

Notably, Asia-Pacific aircraft utilization reached its highest level since 2012, increasing 24 percent year-over-year. Meanwhile, flight activity in North America was moderately strong in the first quarter, rising 6.7 percent from a year ago.

JSSI president and CEO Neil Book said, “The significant increase in activity could be an indicator of positive sentiment among businesses concerning the overall economy. With continued strong growth in key regions such as Asia-Pacific and industries such as business services, we are optimistic 2017 will be a good year for the business aviation industry.”
